DEFINITION

v. To make an effort to hear something.

v. To pay attention; to heed

BIBLICAL CONTEXT

Make an active effort to listen to the voice of God calling out to you, pay attention and take heed to the word he is speaking to your heart. There are many voices speaking out to us all the time, the voice of God, the voice of the world, the voice of those around us, the voice of the devil and the voice of ourselves. Pay attention and pray for Godly wisdom to be able to know the difference and choose the voice of God over all and be obedient to his word spoken.

John 10:27-28...My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they will never perish, neither will any many pluck them out of my hand.

Revelation 3:20...Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come into him, and sup with him, and he with me.

Deuteronomy 13:4...You will walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and you will serve him and cleave to him.

Hebrews 3:7...Wherefore, as the Holy Ghost says, today if you will hear his voice.
